Calculus BC

WHEN: September 2, 2020 - May 31, 2021 (online)

This class meets three times a week for one hour each time. Tentative schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 3:30 - 4:30 pm Pacific Standard Time. The class will not meet during the Thanksgiving week, or between December 19, 2020 and January 3, 2021. All sessions are recorded and available for playback and download immediately after class. 

OFFICE HOURS

Optional online office hours: Saturdays, 4:15-5:15 pm PST. 


Available most Saturdays, they are primarily designed to answer students' questions. Free of charge, included in the monthly tuition.

  • Prerequisites: completion/solid knowledge of pre-calculus

IMPORTANT

  • This class is ideal for students looking to complete their high-school Calculus series and prepare and participate in the AP Calculus AB/BC exams from the College Board. 
  • The class also offers a great preparation for students interested in the University of Oxford entrance exams (MAT), or the Cambridge University admission test.
  • The problems discussed in class are from the textbook or from similar books on the subject. We will often discuss both multiple choice and free-response questions from past AP Calculus AB and BC exams. Homework will be primarily assigned from the textbook.
  • Space is limited, but a minimum number of participants is required to run the class. In the event the class is canceled due to low enrollment, your September payment will be refunded in full within 24 hours.

Please consider signing-up on or before Wednesday, August 26, 2020 to guarantee your spot in the class. This is one of my most popular classes, and fills up quickly.  

TUITION: $30 per session

You will be billed monthly; the tuition varies with the number of sessions held each month, and will average somewhere around $300-$350/month. Some days I am not available because of conflicts with other scheduled math circles.The class will meet every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in September, except for Labor Day.
